Zinc (Dark Living Armor) is good defense tank in Summoners War.

Zinc is a very good nat 3 light and dark monster.

He has 2 AoE skills that make him suitable for Despair rune set: the second skill is a mass defense break with 50% chance and the damage of this skill scales up with Zinc's defense.

All Zinc's skill actually scale up with his defense, so he is very good to rune with defense% on slot 2 and 6 and crit damage on rune 4, or eventually speed on rune 2 and defense on rune 4 and 6.

The third skill is a three hit skill on all enemies that also block beneficial effects and attack breaks with 70% chamce on max skill up.

Being a Living Armor class of of monster, Zinc can easily be skillupped by farming his fire twin Iron on Ferun Castle Scenario.

Zinc is used in PvE in ToA for his multiple AoE skills that give the enemy many debuffs and in PvP in some team composition on Siege Battle: he is very good to use in both context alongside Aria, Akhamamir and Water Homunculus.

With Siege Battles, Zinc is often used in both defense and offense nat-4 star max teams: use him in defense alongside some defense buffer like Olivia to max his damage output.

OK, lets do a proper review of this monster: Zinc is an amazing CC unit with lots of uses, mainly ToAH, Raid and PvP support. Builds are diffferent for each need, and may be as follows: Raid Guard/Endure %DEF/%HP/%DEF I dont reccomend to use Cr Damage on slot 4 as Zinc is not a nuker like Silver, just keep him alive. For PvP and ToAH you may use Despair/Guard with %DEF and %HP in runes 4 and 6. Rune 2 can hold %DEF or SPD, that depends on your needs and runes, but SPD is nearly a must if you want Zinc PvP oriented. Now talking about skills, first can stun and put slow debuff, second is AoE Defense break and third is AoE Attack break and ben. Eff. Block, wich means that you can use it on Theomars, then nuke him and he won´t be able to use his annoying 1-turn-invulnerability shield. So building a fast Zinc for PVP can be a great idea if you pair him with a speed buffer and Lushen, as the Joker doesn´t need Def break to shine. Talking about ToAH, Zinc is the perfect mate of Aria. Try to imagine this: Aria uses AoE slow+glancing+stun then Zinc uses AoE block+Atk break+stun then Baretta places a couple of Dots in every enemy and then Akhamamir goes for a big damage party on all enemies with his third skill. Believe me, its really impressive XD. Now, talking serious, a Despair runed monster with two AoE skills and several debuffs is a ToAH lord. And now lets review his Raid capabilities. Although his cousin Silver is much better in raid, Zinc can perform a good role in the fron line runed with enough DEF and HP. His debuffs are good for the Raid boss, specially the Atk break and Slow debuff. I have given my Zinc´s place in the ToAH team to Sonnet, so I will build him as a Raid monster next RR to make good use of him. I hope this review can give you some ideas if you plan to build this unknown and clearly underrated monster.

I completely agree with your post.  Zinc has a few people singing his name, but not enough.  He is fairly easy to get and skill up since he is a 3 star, and he has many uses throughout the game.  While mine is in no way the best Zinc out there, he is one of the better mons that I have.  Currently runed focus/dispair, def/def/def with hp subs, he can tank a decient amount of attacks and provide great support everywhere with his debuffs and stuns.

I got Zinc at level 10-15. He is a game changer, I love his beneficial effects block, which helps keep beneficial effects away from the Giant Boss, and other dungeons. His second skill helps with a defense break, and his first skill slows down mons with a defense break. I tuned him guard/gaurd/energy. I don't have enough runes to give him def%/def%/def%, as I am only level 30. he is great, build him and you will thank yourself for it.
