Sin (Fire Martial Artist) is currently a not so useful unit, but he can be viable in PvP especially for low-mid game players due to his passive which allows him to resist defense break effect.

Fire Martial Artist could be used against Galleon-based defenses and low-mid Water Units on defense like Camilla, but can't do anything against units like Mo Long (Water Panda Warrior). In addiction approaching mid-end game you will start to see him suffering his low base HP so we suggest to not six star him for now.

If you are searching for a similar unit try with Tractor (Water Frankeinstein), he has the same passive but it works better on a water unit, especially because there's not a "wind Mo Long" out there and tractor can easily take busy Wind bruisers like Wind Panda Warrior, Wind Monkey King and Ritesh (Wind Beast Monk)

This guy surprised me with his usefulness across the board. When runed focuse/revenge/revenge, def/def/def, he was able to tank water damage since he can't be def broken, deal decient damage back, and stun monsters when attacking and when attacked because of his first skill.  He's a great counter against wind pandas when fully built up and can be good for early game players in toa for his stuns and tankyness. I can even see him as a great farmer if built vamp/revenge for stuns and heals because he is a def damage dealer. All around a great 3* to start off with!
