Something to understand about Dova: He always goes BEFORE the mon that he is buffing with S3. His passive increases the SPD of the slowest mon on the team according to his level. Although I cannot find confirmation of this anywhere, it appears to be 1:1 ratio- if he is lvl 35 the SPD boost is +35. Essentially, he makes SPD tuning your team easier. You know that the creature he buffs will go immediately after him and you can use his S2 to fill the ATK bar of another critter (like Kona) so all 3 of them will go in succession without having to perfectly set their SPDs. He doesn't have to be "super fast" to get benefit from his passive. I run him at 209 SPD, 3rd on a cleave team in this order: Chiwu 231, Lagmoran 227, Dova 209, Julie 170 (209 with Dova's passive). Chiwu goes first, removing any pesky shields or immunity buffs with S3 (and possibly stunning since he's on Despair), Lagmoran fires his S3 lightning strike- hopefully stunning a few enemies as well, Dova uses his S2 to return Lagmoran's ATK bar back to full, Julie fires her S3 AOE, then Lagmoran attacks again with his S2 on the toughest critter still standing (if there are any). I'm sure there are more clever ways to use him, but I've found him a lot more useful than I initially thought from reading his skills.

Very interesting analisys of this monster. I´ll bear it in mind if I pull him or find him in the Arena.

With the recent change, his passive works VERY differently. NOW it grants a 1T benefit on the critter with the lowest HP- randomly chosen from ATK increase, Recovery or Endure. To me, the only one that's worth a serious damn is Endure. Attack buff and recovery are redundant to other mons I'll probably have on the team. Now he's just an "optional support" critter, fun to throw in with Lushen or another squishy, but I don't see him getting serious play. I preferred the way it worked before, but the squeaky wheel gets the grease and all...

Correction: his buff is not random- whether the squishy gets ATK buff, Recovery or Endure is based on his HP situation. So, at the start of the battle it is almost always ATK buff. Dova will buff your Lushen (or similar) and fill his ATK bar, so you can get off a quick onslaught with an atk buff. Decent.

For fun, I set my AD with just Dova (35) and Lushen... Unsuspecting noobs fall easily into my trap. Muahahahahaha!!! Obviously, if they tank the shot or outspeed Dova (224) they can beat it, but it works perfectly for a troll/get the occasional win on AD.

Is it really worth to use such a fast build on Dova? I can think in monsters that would make a good use of a 250 SPD set...

Speed is the key ingame.


Dova is a monster, that not so many people know.

So its easy to win many defs in siege with this trap.

I've many monster, support monster, higher in speed as this 2.

The important monster are not nat5

Nat3 and 4, the winning monster ingame.
