Light Werewolf (Eshir)

Review, runes and strategy

Eshir (Light Werewolf) is a great pvp monster in Summoners War.

He is used in Guild Wars, both defense and offense.

Eshir is very good as a Theomars counter since he does multiple hits with his third skill and with each of them he can remove a beneficial effect on target. So, on Theomars he can kill him, then procs the endure state and with other hits he can kill him.

This is a GREAT monster, a TOP nat3 by far. The best thing is that he can be used in all stages of the game with success and high utility.

EARLY GAME: Just rune Eshir full Energy and full HP and use him as a tank in PVP and farming. Once you get runes with interesting CrRate subs, you can change rune 4 to CrDamage and cahnge a couple of Energy runes for Blade ones to increase the CrRate.

MID GAME: Here you can use Eshir almost everywhere. Use Violent runes as soon as you can. Full HP at first and HP/CrDam/HP as soon as you get a decent amount of CrRate. Also note his huge base speed once awakened, and get advantage of it giving him all the SPD subs you can. Eshir can be a good nuker, his second skill is very nice and the heal block on the first can be very useful.

LATE GAME: Sadly, Violent runes start losing utility as the enemies grow stronger. In my humble opinion, the best way to use Eshir in late game PVP is giving him the chance to one-shot an enemy and that means going Rage instead of Violent. If you can build a fast Rage/Will Eshir you can succesfully use him in both offense and defense PVP battles and enjoy a very nice nuker with no elemental disadvantage and some usefull skills. A speed buffer and single target defense breaker like Orion can be the perfect companion for an enraged Eshir.

Completely agree with this. I originally had my Eshir on full energy. I never actually used mine on Violent, but I have been tempted to make another one to be Violent-runed. Currently my Eshir is on Rage/Blade with 39435 hp, 59% cr, and 178% cd (not including towers), and he absolutely destroys things, while being a very safe tank. You are also absolutely correct about the defense break. Eshir is very lack luster without defense break because he needs to get the kill to keep massacre-ing. Mine could also use some more cr, but he never seems to have a problem critting for me.
