Anavel (Water Occult Girl) is a great all-around skillset monster in Summoners War.
She has a pretty unique build, since she heals based on her attack power and deals damage with third skill based on her max HP; however her first skill deals a lot of damage and it is based on her attack power again.
Anavel is a solid replacement pretty much everywhere, since she provides, single taget sleep, a lot of damage on single target (7-8K damage without defense break are easily achiveable even on Violent build and not against tanky units), a built-in Violent-kinda gain another turn feature all in the first skill; a second skill which is an AoE cleanser plus heal based on her attack power and a third skill which is an AoE 3 hit defense break with 50% chance on each attack.
She can fullfill many roles on your team, you can build (always rune her on Violent to maximize her chance of getting other turns) her in many different ways and use her in all game content. However she doesn't shine anywhere, in all game content you can have better monster to use instead of her.
PvP oriented builds
Violent/Will - SPD / %HP / %ATK with speed %HP %ATK and %Crit Rate substats, this build can be used if you place Anavel in Arena defense or in World Arena
Violent/Nemesis - SPD / %HP / %ATK with speed %HP %ATK and %Crit Rate substats, this build can be also used in PvP defense or World Arena, but is more effective against Lushen teams since Nemesis rune will make you gain turn and you can heal yourself
PvE oriented builds
Violent/Guard or Violent/Energy or Violent/Shield - SPD / %HP / %ATK with speed %HP %ATK, focus on %HP on substats

I use her in r5, set as part of my AD and GWD, use her on one of my frequent AOs, and use her in place of bella in my nb10 team.
Her s1 sleep proc resets the violent counter, so she can theoretically attack forever if the rng goes right I think. This messes with people's heads in pvp. Having an aoe 3 turn defense break works wonders because it makes it harder for enemies to proc their own violent out of the defense break.
She gains 25% res from awakening, so it is very easy to get the 70% soft cap resistance for raid. This is also very useful in pvp.
Because her s3 hits 3 times, I find her more useful in nb10 than bella. The only problem is her s1 isn't as useful because it's harder to make sure defense break gets on the boss, but I also use Fuco to help with that, and it hasn't been a real problem yet.
