Review, runes and strategy

Ariel is one of the best Healer in Summoners war. With two heal-type skills he is considered on top 3 healers in game, especially a Nemesis Healer.

The water archangel rise in PvP content especially for defense purposes, his third skil gives an attack bar boost of 20% with a AoE heal of 30% HPs, in addition he grants allies with a 3 turn Blessed effect (this effect Heals by 15% of the target's Max HP every turn turn). While his second skill heals a single ally by half of its Max HP. 

Ariel in Arena Defense

Here ariel provide a very interesting leader skill that increases the HP of ally monsters with Water attribute by the 50% (to be calculated on every unit base HP without runes). This skill combined with his healing capabilities and his tankiness makes this archangel very common in arena during Rush Hour, often combined with other annoying water units like Rina (Water Epikion Priest), Josephine(Water Paladin) and Camilla (Water Valkyrja)

This kind of team are supposed to act as deterrant and prevent other people to attack you, that's because during the rush hour other players need to climb ranking very fast to reach at the top of they possibilities and fighting against a team of water tanks that can't be cleaved in less than 1 minute (or can be but with lot of risk) is generally not a good choice. A good water tank team can lead to a Draw and that's lot of wasted time.

Guild Battles

Ariel is commonly used even in Guild War Offense, if you need some team to test here are some:

- Ariel (lead), Chow, Woosa
- Ariel (lead), Theomars (or Chow), Orion
- Ariel (lead), Konamiya, Theomars (or Chow)
- Xing Zhe (lead), Ariel, Woosa 

Water Archangel (Ariel) Suggested Runes

Despite ariel is a very simple monster, he is pretty hard to rune for beginners and middle player, infact he need good Will and Nemesis runes, runed Double Nemesis grants a good protection against the majority of wind cleavers team (Tiana-Galleon and double lushen).

So our suggestion is to go for:

PVP and R5: 2x Nemesis / Will - HP% / HP% / HP% 

You can place a Spd rune in the second slot but keep in mind to reach at least this stat if you want a "good" Ariel: +26000 HP / +700 Def / +120 Speed

ive tried various rune sets on this mon and im currently running 2 energy sets and 1 tolerance set. Hp% Hp% Hp% with Spd , Resistance% and Def% subs. i have him sitting at 36,478 Hp and 1,074 Def. im trying to get his def subs higher but this seems to be working very well. ive also tried the same build as his brother Velajule, Vio Will with Hp Hp Def and it works aswell, especially in arena. when you hit F1 - C1 or C2 its almost imperitive to have him on Will, as he is a liable target for first attacks because evryone knows he is a Base healing mon. So with High Hp and Def with Resistance followed by will, he is a great tanking healer that can take hits even when Def break is on him. I always pair him with a mon that can cast perma Immun like Woosa or his brother Velajule. followed by a nuker such as Theomars. this set up is really affective in wars. But remember, he is almost always the first target in Arena so build him with as much HP and Def as you can. 
on another note Ariel is a mon that shines in every aspect of this game, ive used him in ToA, Cairos, Rift, and Guild Def. He is my Favorite healing monster followed closely by Chasun. but any other imput is appriciated, im always looking to improving this Valuble unit.

Lol, your review is nice but it seems weird to me when you mention that Ariel is "almost always the first target in Arena", because when I face him i always always always leave him for the end. The reason to do so is that a well built Ariel is so hard to kill that even a full tram of 4 monsters may have trouble to take him down, so I´ve already learnt how useless, frustrating and disappointing is to try to nuke Ariel while the enemy team destroys you in a slowly but steady way. So I just forget about Ariel, try to kill the rest of the enemy team as soon as possible and then I patiently face Ariel with 3 or 4 monsters and eventually kill him.

He´s a top healer, and he has also great utility in some elemental rifts and in the Raid frontline as long as you can build him with some extra defense.

this is true but it is just my opinion, some ariels arnt well built though so i almost always hit him once at first to test hp and def. if its not high enough i always nuke him first. but if he is well built as you stated i do leave him for last. as his Att is not great and he hardly hits hard at all. hes not deadly.

First of all,: GREAT REVIEW by the page developers. I just want to share my thoughts here.
I´ve pulled Ariel a few months ago and I´m really happy to have him in my roster. He can give awesome support versus strong fire units and can even tank some annoying wind attackers with success, specially if you get a high Resistance on him.
I mainly use him in arena, Gw and Siege, but he´s pretty good also for Labyrinth purposes, indeed he was the key monster for me to beat Tartarus in Hard difficulty.
When used in Arena I usally pair him with Verad, Orion/Woosa and a nuker (Camilla, Theomars or Chow). Im also planning to 6* Soha to add a stripper in the team if needed. Ariel is perfect to keep all the water team alive, and give a nice bonus to Chow (HP based damage). Besides, A tanky Camilla with a 50% HP bonus is a real pain XD.

In Labyrinth he can give AoE healing support to a whole party, and hepl clearing stages in Hard or Hell mode. Also, versus Tartarus is a main monster as the boss cant block healing so all his skills can be used in the battle with no limit.
Concerning runes, as I´m not fighting yet to get Guardian rank, and Ariel is not in my regular Arena defense, I´ve runed him Violent/Nemesis to proc and spam the healing. For me speed is capital, but I´ve managed to get some nice stats with a HP/HP/DEF build: +88 SPD, +24000 HP and +1100 DEF.

Mine is Vio/Nem, 2xHP + DEF and I´m pretty satisfied with him, specially in Arena.
