Water Ifrit (Theomars)

Review, runes and strategy

Theomars is a good nuker: despite of being a water monster he can deal significant damage even to wind monsters thanks to his passive that always grants him elemental advantage when attacking.

That also means that he is unpredictable when facing it in arena, always having elemental advantage, he will attack without following elemental weakness patterns.

Usually used in PVP, he can find place in PVE teams when users laks of better nuker (like Perna or Sigmarus) because his first skill puts DOT

Suggested runes:
- Beginner: Rage/Blade - ATK / Crit D / ATK
- Mid/late game: Violent/Revenge or Violent/Nemesis SPD / Crit D / ATK

One of the best single target nukers of this game, Theomars have a unique passive skill that makes him invincible for one turn when his health drops to zero and also grants him elemental advantage when targeting an enemy. That means only passives like Molly´s one will make Theomars glance. Elemental affinity also grants a critical rate bonus, so all this features make Theomars one of the most all-terrain nukers both in PvP and PvE battles. This unit really shines when paired with a top healer like Ariel, Chasun or even Harmonia. If his health drops to zero, he will be granted with an invicible shield untill he gets another turn, giving the healer a chance to recover his health bar before diying. This is extremely annoying when paired with Chasun, as Chasun´s third skill can heal even through disturb recovery effects. Another annoying thing when you fight a Theomars is that he can shoot to any target, making him quite unpredictable in defense. However, based in experience, I can swear that if you have a Lushen in your team, Theomars will ALWAYS shoot Lusen before any other monster. Now, if it´s you the one who have Theomars in your team, remember some facts: FIRST, Try to rune him Violent/Will unles you have an extremely fast unit that can grant him inmunity. SECOND, always pair Theomars with a strong healer, or at least a unit that can shield him like Betta, Woosa or Khmun. THIRD, never use %ATK on slot2 unless you have really godly runes with huge SPD substats. Theomars only need speed and attack power, so rune him SPD/CrDam/ATK with high critical rate and some Accuracy subs in order to make his second skill work properly. Remember that his deadly skill is the first one, and that skill is scaled by speed, so FOURTH, try to use Theomars with a speed leader/buffer or with both of them if possible. Ive tried mine with Vanessa+Bernard and the damage output have increased considerably.

Awesome review kain, i have him violent/revenge because i love see him do 15-20k damage back when attacked. Do you think he is better on will for arena defense (and why?) My AD at the moment is him with a 250 speed willed chloe + molly + tyron leader.

If you use a high speed inmunity buffer like Chloe, you dont need will. Theo shines with speed leaders, and your AD team looks pretty good.

I just got 2 NB5s within a month. One is Theomars and the other is Zaiross. Still confused on who to prioritize. Who do you recommend to 6* first?
