Review, runes and strategy

Verad (Water Dragon) is a great support tank monster in Summoners War.

Verad has 2 AoE skills: second skill has a freeze effect on all enemies and third skill sets attack bar to 0 for all enemies. Having two AoE skills, Verad can be runed with Despair runes: so he will be alble to have great chance to stun most of the enemy team plus freezing chance and setting attack bat to 0. With this build he needs good accuracy (try to get as closer to 85% as you can).

Alternatively he can be built with Violent runes for having a chance to reduce cooldown of his skills faster. In both cases (Violent or despair) Guard runes are recommended since his second skill scales up with defense.

Verad is very good in ToA, helping your team in stunning/freezing and dropping enemy's bar to 0, and with a tanky build he can easily be in your ToA Hard Team.

He is useful pretty much everywhere, also his leaderskill is very good (33% HP increase to all allies).

I guess Verad doesn´t need a review at this point, cause he is one of the top CC monsters of the game. Although he needs an AoE stripper to shine in high rank PvP, this Dragon is by far the best PvE crowd Control monster available, and the ruler of ToA/ToaH.
The 3rd Skill, "Absolute Zero", can give you TWO turns in a row, the first by setting all enemies ATB to zero, and the second because of the Freeze, so Overall most of your units will be able to attack twice before the enemies can move. Effect chance is 100% so this skill is unique in all the monsters and can only be matched by an extremely lucky Despair Poseidon.
Concerning the other 3 skills, the leader one is an extremely usefull 33HP everywhere, the second skill is also an AoE freeze and the first one a simple damage hit.
So once we agrre on the utility and CC capabilities of this monster, the only possible discussion would be about how to rune Verad. Up in the main review, you have some suggestions, good ones, of course. But I´ve chosen a different path, and I want to share it and explain the reasond why I´ve used my own build.
My Verad is runed Violent/Will - SPD/CrDam/%Def.
I´ve obviously chosen %DEF because this monster needs some sustain and because main damage is DEF based. I´ve chosen SPD and Violent because the fastest he goes and procs, the more chances of getting all enemies frozen. Despair is not a good choice because the freeze chances are very high on both S2&S3 skills. Will is of course due to avoid 1st turn debuffs AND, CritDamage was chosen because the Damage multipliers are quite decent, so ATB-0 + Freeze + Decent damage seemed a great combo.
The only drawback of this build is that you´ll need godly runes to have good SPD, DEF and a decent CrRate & Damage. Howeven, I´m trying hard to get better Violent runes and get a top Verad, cause this monster deserves all the best.

Just got Verad today thanks to summoning stones: Merry Christmas!!! I'm so happy and it is so incredible that my favorite water dragon is actually the 4th Nat5 I got in just 5days... I could not believe it and am still shocked and in bliss. I'm now dreaming of clearing TOAH and not being stuck at TOAH 80.

Back to runing: I don't have godly runes, so I will start with Vio+Will (Spd/HP or Def/Def). No sure yet if I should priorize HP or Def for my slot #4. When I have godly runes, I will definetely try CD in slot #4.

Merry christmas to everybody and happiest end of the year celebrations to all !!! :D :D :D
