Review, runes and strategy

Briand (Wind Death Knight) is a great HP support tank in Summoners War.

Like all other Death Knights, Briand has a first skill with heal block weakening effect. His second skill is a AoE damage plus break attack effect, reusable every 4 turns. Having this kind of skill, Briand is often built with Despair rune set.

With his third skill, Briand can revive an ally and then balances the HP of the party: this is a double edge sword because the revived ally will have a good amount of HP back but the entire party will be lower in health. For this reason is very recomended to use a good AoE Healer like Chasun, Belladeon or Colleen alsongside Briand.

It is also good to ensure that Briand will have good amount of defense and HP to increase his chance to survive, since it is recomended to use him in Arena Defense but thanks to his revive ability he will be the first target: for this purpose you may use Energy or Guard runes.

Briand is often used in ToA (this is why Despair build is very popular on Briand), Arena Defense and Raid Battle: in this last area Briand should have at least 21k HP and 1500 defense to be able to be in frontline in Raid level 5.

Briand rune build

ToA build: Despair/Energy - SPD / %HP / %ACC or SPD / %HP / %HP

Arena defense: Despair/Will - SPD / %HP / %HP or %HP / %HP / %HP

Raid battle: Despair/Revenge - %DEF / %DEF / %HP

Great monster with amazing utility as he can perform in almos every scenario of the game.
PVP is very nice to use in Siege teams, along with a healer and a Nuker. Briand can not only revive a dead ally, but his AoE attack break is also of great help to keep your team alive. Despair runes are the most common set for PVP, All HP or 2xHP/DEF with some Speed substats.
PVE can be used in Raid frontline to tank and take profit of his 30% Resistance Leader Skill, althoug his "cousin" Dias is much more common because of his passive skill. It´s difficult to get enough R5 stats with the Despair build, so some people use a specific Energy/Guard/Enhance/Determination build for R5 purposes. This is not however the main habitat of Briand, so you may think in his real raid utility begore building a specific R5 Briand.
Now, talking also about PVE, Briand is a Labyrinth MVP. With his "standard" Despair build he can be of great help in most of the rooms, specially the "bomb" ones and also is one of the top monsters to face TARTARUS in Hard/Hell modes. His Attack Break and revive capabilities work very good versus the big boss. S2 has a cooldown, so bear in mind to have it ready for the last attack as it´s the most powerful one.
