Wind Pungbaek (Pungbaek)

my gf just got that one and i really dont know how to rune him

This is a HP monster, but just like Rakan or Perna he might be runed as a nuker. Depending on your level and options you may want to use Fatal, Rage or Violent runes, the ususal build should be SPD/CrDam/ATT with high CrRate substats. Pungbaek can be an extremely effective wind nuker and his 3rd skill can decide battles if used wisely.

Pungbaek's change was a huge buff. Atk/CD/Atk preferably rage, but you can just give him your best runes even if broken, pair him with a defense break and atk buff, and he can wipe an entire enemy team with his s3. Mine reliably one shots chasun with about 40k dmg average (which is kind of low for a Pungbaek), and the splash damage kills any atk mons that don't generally have high hp pools.

For instance, a team I use is Chiwu (L), Galleon, Bernard, Pungbaek. I atb boost with bernie, use Chiwu s2 on enemy Theo for buff-block, Galleon s3 for aoe def break and atk buff, and Pungbaek s3 on def broken enemy Chasun. This usually kills Chasun and Theo instantly, and either kills or maims the other 2 enemy mons. The next time around, Pungbaeks non-glancing s2 cleans up the enemy fire mons such as Laika since it hits twice, it can kill him after the s3 damage as long as he Laika isn't runed vamp. My Pungbaek's s2 usually crits for about 27k combined.

The only kind of draw back to him in my opinion is you have to focus your team around him. If he gets cut after Galleon and either gets killed, the atk buff removed, enemy defense break cleansed, etc., it's difficult to recover, and usually ends up in a loss. Again, this is just my experience, and I do not claim to be an expert.

Final comments: Pungbaek no longer needs to kill with his s3 to trigger the splash damage.

Dropped him 2 days ago, i have appreciated your review but can't understand why i should consider him in AO instead of a lushen, third skill kinda ignores defense when triggered AoE but for 50% of a damage which is calculated including def.
I also use Lagmaron with alicia galleon and tiana, he may do less damage AoE but he brings stun with him.

Sadly i can't find him a spot outside storage :(

@Bestsummoner, I think Pung is way better than Lushen for PvP as he has much more sustain. Unless you use a fast speed Lushen on a Cleave tactic, Pung is way better for "long" battles and his S2 is really amazing to counter famous buffers like Bastet, Megan, etc and also to oneshot Theomars. I´d love to have a Pung to face those annoying full water teams that you sometimes find in AD.

I saw Pungbaek as a much-more-better nuker than Lushen in World Arena as he could sustained after 1 or 2 shots of your opponent. In normal Arena Offense, maybe double Lushen + Megan + Bernard could be your choice if you got top-tier speed Bernard and Megan...
